I’m writing this from my home in the beautiful country, Victoria where I’ve lived nearly my whole life. I’m fortunate enough to have my daughter & Grandson living very close by (across the road!) and I’m pleased to say that not too long ago I met & married the love of my life. I love my time in my garden, I love walking, I’m heading towards a milestone birthday & life feels really, really good.
My working career was largely in Administration roles but outside of that I was always fascinated by Personal Growth. I trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy & Coaching and was able to start a small home based business consulting in these fields but I always felt like there would be something more. Something that suited me a little bit better… after an inspiring conversation with a friend I came across the Business that I run now - and it has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me. THE PROBLEM THAT LED ME HERE: My Admin roles spanned over many years. I’d had enough and was burnt out. I decided to walk away from just being an employee working for other organisations in positions that had no room to progress. I worked in a Media outlet in a Sales Consulting role for a while but I believed there had to be an even better way for me to achieve something more fulfilling.
THE BUSINESS THAT TAUGHT ME A LOT: My search for a career that would be more enjoyable & rewarding did lead me down the path of starting my consulting business from home. I’ve always wanted to help people (especially women) get past the things that are holding them back in life so it was only natural for me to pursue training in the Coaching & Hypnotherapy fields. I loved what I had in mind for that business but I hit a wall with being able to “get myself out there” to attract enough clients to really make it take off. I’ve since connected with so many other people that have followed that path & hit the same wall. This made me more motivated to find the right solution…
THE COURSES THAT LED ME TO SUCCESS: I’ve always been passionate about reading, I love books! My love of learning continued into the Coaching courses that I started when retiring from the “workforce”. It was so wonderful to have something to focus on & what I learned helped me so much - I was in a much better place than I had been in such a long time. I’m so grateful that this is part of what led me to meeting the love of my life - our paths had crossed way back in the ’80’s & synchronistically he kept popping up in my life for years until I was really in the right place to meet him on another level. Becoming the best version of me has led to me meeting the best partner for me.
I am so grateful to have found my passion and purpose in life & now I love sharing this with others
THE BUSINESS THAT WAS A BOOM: I knew very quickly that this business had all the boxes ticked - for starters, being based in the rapidly growing Personal Development Industry is fantastic. It means that I actually get to do something I thoroughly enjoy every day & work with amazing people who are all on the same page. Secondly, you’re not on your own! You are taught absolutely everything right from Day One & you have a network of fellow Business owners to be in touch with every day for guidance.
I love that even though I can attract clients from all over the world, I don’t have to leave home. I’m such a homebody & proud of it, so this really suits me. In saying that, now that we are working online, we have decided to enjoy some time caravanning around Australia & my business will come along for the journey. We’ve really got the best of both worlds!
